My wife and I have been together now for 16 years and married for going on 9 of that. We have lived on our property for 12 years now. Our first five of that was spent humbly in a small trailer dreaming of the house we would someday build. Seven years ago we built our Dream Home and then last year completed the Dewachen Inn just for you.
When I am not at home enjoying spending time with my family or helping guests settle in and life forces me to go out and earn a living I am a Chief Engineer for Crowley Marine Services on one of the many Tug Boats in Prince William Sound assigned to Escort and Response Duties in conjunction with the Super Tankers that load oil from the famous Alyeska Pipeline.
Susan some how manages to hold a full time position as an Office Manager and Law Assistant in a local State Law Office while at the same time managing our household, taking care of and raising our sons (And me), helping out with all of our animals and then on top of all that she also manages to tolerate me and every thing about me as her husband. And does an increadible job with it all.
What a pleasure it was to step out onto the porch every morning and take in the wondrous sights that the Dewachen Inn afforded, Lazy Mountain looming large in the background, the horses grazing in the pasture, absolute peace and tranquility at its best. From the well appointed cozy guest rooms to the communal fire pit and snack area, all the necessities were well thought out. Also, I took great pleasure in knowing that my kids were tucked in safely in their own room, just through our conjoined private bathroom. The Inn is located a short drive to town, yet far away from the "Real World". I would highly recommend this Inn to anyone looking for a quiet get away in the gorgeous Matanuska Valley. - Erin/North Bend, WA
